This kayak is a yet another take on the Black Pearl concept. It has a little more room for knees and feet than the real Black Pearl – you do not have to sit with straight legs under a low deck. It gives you a second to react after an erratic paddle stroke, before turning you upside down. It reacts quickly to maneuvering strokes, leaning and weight shifts but not instantly as the Black Pearl. You do not have to be a master of Greenland paddling and rolling to enjoy the Sea Pearl, but you will probably become one – intentionally or not.
Sea Pearl is a Greenland kayak for those starting out on the Greenland path, but not quite ready for, or interested in, the real deal.
